![]() ![]() This study can be of use for Cal Poly students who by burger products from the local Ralph's store in San Luis Obispo. ![]() Students will use a hands-on approach to use accepted methodologies and commercial software tools to complete an environmental LCA. Although our study is not meant to determine if a vegetarian diet is environmentally superior to an omnivorous diet, we hope that the results will help to better inform consumers of both burger types about the true difference in environmental impact of a beef burger versus a vegetable burger. This unique workshop will provide attendees an overall view of the basic concepts in the fundamental principles of environmental life cycle analysis (LCA) for a product or service.
